Creedence Clearwater Revival – The Midnight Special

creedence clearwater revival

"Midnight Special" is a traditional folk song thought to have originated among prisoners in the American South. The title comes from the refrain which refers to the passenger train Midnight Special and its "ever-loving light" (sometimes "ever-living light"). Here covered by Creedence Clearwater Revival  from "Willy and the Poor Boys" their fourth studio album, released by Fantasy Records in November 1969, and was the last of three studio albums that the band released in that year (see 1969 in music). The album was remastered and reissued on 180 Gram Vinyl by Analogue Productions in 2006. In 2003, the album was ranked number 392 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
